When I was just a wee youngster in primary school, some of my best grades came in the subject of mathematics. While my course studies focus changed to the written word in high school, I always retained my appreciation for the concept of pie… I mean Pi (No, I was right the first time).
Surprisingly though, this is the first year that John and I will be celebrating Pi Day (March 14th, 3.14… get it). Although John will say that she was never one to excel at or even understand many mathematical concepts, she does expect me to share this wonderful specimen with her.
I suppose I could share it with her… as long as I get 3.14159265358979 pieces.
Do you celebrate Pi Day? Do you appreciate the mathematics behind the origin of the day or do you just use it to scarf down some delicious baked items? Let us know in the comments below or on social media what kind of pie you had this March 14th.
