OCTOBER 31ST, 2019

One of the special events we went to this year to help get us into the Spirit of Hallowe’en was Pumpkins After Dark which is held annually at the Country Heritage Park in Milton, Ontario. This year it started on September 26th and runs through to November the 3rd. So, if we get this posted quickly enough, and you are in the area, it may be worth your while to check to see if there are any tickets still available. We were so enthralled that I even lost my scarf at some point and didn’t even notice it slip off my shoulders because I was so focused on the wonderful artwork.

While we strongly suggest delaying your start time until at least 7:30 p.m. so that it is dark enough when you begin your walk around the field of uniquely designed pumpkin art, to get the full appreciation of the pumpkins in all their lighted glory, it does make it difficult to take really clear photos… as you will see in most of our pictures. Still, we couldn’t help but share the experience with all of you the best we could. With that being said, this post is going to be more of a photo gallery than a written article.

Right near the end, they set up a section where you could purchase pumpkins of various sizes and species (some of which I had never seen) and the best part was that all proceeds of those sales went directly to Habitat for Humanity.

The tour came to an end with one last image that we have purposely left separate. For an event that celebrates Hallowe’en, a night where the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, we found it only fitting that the tour ended as does our life… with an image of…
